U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A
Ok, so this is long overdue, but count me officially on the US Soccer Team's bandwagon. And there are two ways one could go with this story if they had the time to give it proper attention (I don't, sorry)
1. It almost seems appropriate at this point for the US to finally step up. After 9-11, it almost seems as if we can't help but shine. Besides, this was the year of the underdogs (Patriots and D-backs) before the Lakers and Red Wings bulled their way to the title.
2. This could really catapult US Soccer for years to come. We saw the effect that the US women's team had on the game. This effort by the men's squad only accentuates the positive. Not only will the girl's team continue to compete at the highest level, but the MLS should get a good boost in the arm in the fallout of the Cup.
No matter how much further the US can go, they have already won our hearts. U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A
