McHale Always Offers A Good Quote

"In AAU, they must not teach passing anymore, because no one can throw it into the post," McHale said. "If I played on this team, I'd have slit my wrists already."

He said this because his boy Kevin Garnett is getting critisized for never winning in the first round. The article does a good job of pointing out what is somewhat obvious to most. KG hasn't had a decent or consistent enough supporting cast to advance. And it doesn't help playing in the West where teams are stacked. If they can't make it into the top 3 or 4 in the standings, then they'll continue to have to face stacked teams like the Lakers, Spurs, Mavs, and Kings.

Everyone loves the manchild, and we'd all love to see him advance. But he's gonna need some other stars around him. If you are looking for blame, maybe you could point to the guys that gave KG all that dough (hard to sign FA's) and then cheated with the Joe Smith scandle (no draft picks). I love Kevin, he's a great Celtic and always good for a quote. But he could probably use a few tutoring sessions with Red when it comes to running a team.
