A quick/early look at the Eastern Confrence playoffs
I get tired of hearing NBA announcers say that the East is "wide open" and that anyone can take it, because it disrespects the success of NJ, Detroit, and Boston. That said, it's hard to argue with them since the 4 - 8 teams have great potential for a run while the top 3 have little to no experience in the playoffs.
I think this postseason will come down to who meshes the best as a team. It happened last year with the Lakers and Sixers coming together at just the right time. The Hornets last year were a good example of this as well.
